My beautiful antique french doors unfortunately gave me limited choice for locksets. I found this one on Amazon, had my locksmith review the specs & since the measurements matched, he was able to install it without a problem. It looks great, really pretty and was happy I found this beautiful lockset.This company sent this faster than promised. I've looked everywhere for a reasonably priced mortice set that isn't going to fall apart quickly and works well. It needed to install it on a back entry door and need quality to endure the abuse this door gets. I thought I would try this product out and I am very impressed with the weight, quality workmanship and functionality. I tried another product a few months back that cost me three-times as much as this one did and I sent it back immediately because it was such a cheap product. This door set was ten times the quality of the $350 unit.Solid brass baby!!!If I were putting this in a modern door, I probably would be able to give it a full five stars. Unfortunately, we were putting this into a door that is original to our 1899 Victorian and made of very solid, thick, tough wood. The screws gave us fits. We love the doorknob, plates, everything but the screws. This is solid, heavy, and it looks phenomenal. I can't wait to put these in each of our doors!We will be using different screws, however.
